Time zone usa map4/15/2024 City residents were up in uproar at this, and after a chaotic political process that saw an attempt to recall of the mayor and four assembly members, the change was reversed. Interestingly enough, in the period following the end of the Second World War, the capital of Alaska, Juneau, was changed from Pacific Time to Alaska Standard Time which meant that despite it being located in the Southeast of the country, it occupied a different time zone from the region surrounding it. Finally, there was Bering time, which covered the Aleutian chain and the Northern Coast of the State of Alaska. Then there was Alaska time, which ranged from an area east of Cold Bay to just west of Yakutat, and moved Northward towards Nome. Next came Yukon time, which was concentrated around Yakutat. First, there was Pacific Time, which covered South Eastern Alaska. However, the time zones gradually came to be divided into four. When people first settled in the state, they largely decided their own time zones. It officially became one of the states in the union on January 3 rd, 1959. This led to the United States of America purchasing Alaska on March 30 th, 1867 for $7.2 million, or two cents an acre. After the Crimean War of the 1850s, Russia nearly went bankrupt, and they approached the American government with an offer to sell Alaska. However, the British and the Americans disputed Russian claims to an area in North America. It was first discovered by the Western world in 1741 by an expedition from Russia, and the Russian American Company was given control over Alaska in 1799. Valorant ascent map callouts4/15/2024 The Market is summarised in Market Door, Market Plat, Market Stairs, and on the planting grounds, it's Double/Triple Box. But this doesn't have to worry you since the callouts are mostly simple and easy to remember. Here are all the main Ascent B-site callouts: Ascent B-site callouts | © Riot Gamesī-site on Ascent packs a lot of callouts since the site is kind of cut in half with the Workshop in the middle. B Site Ascent Guide: Strategies, Callouts, Tips & Tricks If you don't have smoke abilities, then try and recapture A-main either with flashes or brute force. If you have smoke abilities, smoke off A-main then try to defuse the spike or defeat any enemies that may be lurking near A-wine. Awesome Viper wall to defend on Ascent A-site | © Riot Gamesīut what if you were on B-site and the enemies took control of A-site? Then, to retake A-site while defending you'll want to go through Heaven and clear Hell first. You should also use some abilities here to keep the enemies at bay until your allies rotate for a fair fight. If the enemies try to enter through A-main, they won't know who to kill first since beautiful Vandal bullets from 2 ways are hitting them. All you have to do is have around 2 maximum 3 agents on-site and set up crossfire, for example, 1 player on Heaven and the other at Generator. How to Defend A Site on Ascentĭefending on A-site on Ascent is really easy since the map is more focused on the defenders' advantage. Once you plant the spike, just defend main angles like Heaven and watch out for flanks. Not only will it block the enemies from retaking the site from the Door, but if they try to break it you'll know exactly where they are. Duelist flashes combined with smokes will also make it harder for the enemies to see and kill you while you try and enter the site.Ī crucial step instantly after you enter the A-site is to close off the Door. A Viper smoke lineup along with her wall cast from A-main to cover the door is an excellent example to smoke off the site. The Controllers will smoke off essential areas, and in this site's situation, it would be to smoke off Door, Heaven, and Hell. To do this, you'll need Controller and Duelist agents. Now you can say "I defeated the enemy with the best melee skin in Hell"! How to Attack A Site on AscentĪttacking on A-site on Ascent is brought down to taking out enemies behind safe corners. One trick to know about all map callouts is that if there's an upper area held by an opened lower area, they're almost always referred to as Heaven for the above area and Hell for the below area. This way they'll become easier to remember. While you play on Ascent, you should keep this image somewhere close to yourself so you can practice these Ascent A-site callouts. By the end of testing we were happy with the bolt’s operation-still rock solid, but with noticeably less effort to operate. Every gun-no matter the type-requires some breaking in to achieve optimal functionality. That issue resolved itself after about 100 rounds were fired during testing. Bolt lock-up on our evaluation gun was very tight, as evidenced by a bolt lift that took more effort than we would have expected to open or close the bolt. The 3-lug bolt is fitted with a spring-pin ejector and small but effective extractor. Like the other Compass models it gets 5R rifling and a threaded muzzle for a sound suppressor or brake. The Compact model - regardless of caliber - is fitted with shorter 16.50-inch barrel, making it very maneuverable when the going gets tight. The muzzles are threaded for suppressors or other muzzle devices, and a threaded muzzle cap is provided. Google photos delete search history4/14/2024 When OpenAI went through these issues in 2022, its technique for diversity insertion led to some awkward generations at first, but because OpenAI was a relatively small company (compared to Google) taking baby steps into a new field, those missteps didn't attract as much attention. "They must reflect the diversity of languages, culture, value systems, political opinions, and centers of interest across the world."įurther Reading DALL-E image generator is now open to everyone "We need a free and diverse set of AI assistants for the same reasons we need a free and diverse press," wrote Meta's chief AI scientist, Yann LeCun, on X. It's difficult to provide a monolithic AI model that will serve every political and cultural viewpoint, and some experts recognize that. Different factions demand different results from AI products (such as avoiding bias or keeping it) with no one cultural viewpoint fully satisfied. The episode reflects an ongoing struggle in which AI researchers find themselves stuck in the middle of ideological and cultural battles online. And that's generally a good thing because people around the world use it. Gemini's AI image generation does generate a wide range of people. AdvertisementĪs the controversy swelled on Wednesday, Google PR wrote, "We're working to improve these kinds of depictions immediately. To counteract this, OpenAI invented a technique in July 2022 whereby its system would insert terms reflecting diversity (like "Black," "female," or "Asian") into image-generation prompts in a way that was hidden from the user. For example, critics complained that prompts often resulted in racist or sexist images ("CEOs" were usually white men, "angry man" resulted in depictions of Black men, just to name a few). When AI image synthesis launched into the public eye with DALL-E 2 in April 2022, people immediately noticed that the results were often biased due to biased training data. This isn't the first time a company with an AI image-synthesis product has run into issues with diversity in its outputs. Once I was done, I started taking more photos.Wednesday night, Elon Musk chimed in on the politically charged debate by posting a cartoon depicting AI progress as having two paths, one with "Maximum truth-seeking" on one side (next to an xAI logo for his company) and "Woke Racist" on the other, beside logos for OpenAI and Gemini. As I sifted through the tens of thousands of photos I’ve taken during two-thirds of my life, there was a satisfying glow to the process-a nostalgia vortex. However, my obsession with organizing my digital life-including operating a strict WhatsApp Zero policy-means that I would be fully satisfied with the job only if I did it manually. It’s also possible to free up some of your account’s space by shrinking the size of photos by dropping them to “storage saver quality.” Its storage management tools allow you to delete large photos and videos in bulk and get rid of screenshots and blurry photos. And pictures can be siphoned off into albums (it was too late for me). You can archive photos if you don’t want to delete them or keep them in your main photo library. Google has some tools to help you manage your photos. Before I started deleting everything, I’d used up around 80 GB of storage I’ve decreased this to about 60 GB. Plus, practically speaking, there’s now more space in my Google account. Now I plan on sorting the most recent photos once a year. In another 10 years, I may have taken an extra 20,000 to 40,000 photos. If I had waited another few years, the task would have been too daunting to even start. Once sorted, it has been easier to find specific events and the best photos from them. Ever-expanding cloud storage makes it possible to keep taking photos and adding to the pile. But there are other reasons to spend some time clearing up your photos.

Lvl roof beam span tables4/14/2024 For example, Appendix A indicates that one type of clay tile roof system has a live load value of 20 psf and a dead load value of 15 psf. AWC’s Appendix A lists a variety of live and dead load combinations for floors, ceilings and rafters. Simply reference Span Tables for Joists and Rafters published by the American Wood Council (AWC). But for most cases there is a cookbook solution. For a floor system you can find the individual weights of drywall, strapping, floor joists, subfloor, underlayment and carpet in an architectural handbook like Architectural Graphic Standards. To determine the dead load value for a given floor or roof system, the weight of all permanently installed materials in a given component are added together. Unlike stiffness, live loads and dead loads are added together to determine minimum design values for strength. Joists, and rafters must be strong enough not to break when loaded. Strength of a material is obviously important. Attic floors with limited storage L/240 & 10 psf. Bedrooms and habitable attic floors L/360 & 30 psf.Examples of code-prescribed deflection limits and live load values are: These limits are based on live loads and activities experienced in specific rooms of a house. Typical deflection limits referenced in code books are L/360, L/240 or L/180. Drywall attached to the underside of this system is not expected to crack when the floor joist system deflects 1/3″. For example: a floor joist appropriately selected to span 10 feet with an L/360 limit will deflect no more than 120″/360 = 1/3 inches under maximum design loads. They are expressed as a fraction clear span in inches (L) over a given number. Maximum deflection limits are set by building codes. Only live loads are used to calculate design values for stiffness. In other words, how much a joist or rafter bends under the maximum expected load. Stiffness of structural members is limited by maximum allowable deflection. Perhaps the joists were strong enough if they didn’t break! But lack of stiffness leads to costly problems. For example, first-floor ceiling plaster would crack as occupants walked across a second-floor bedroom that was framed with bouncy floor joists. Strength and stiffness are equally important. Beams, studs, joists and rafters act as a structural skeleton and must be strong enough and stiff enough to resist these loads. The house acts as a structural system resisting dead loads (weight of materials), live loads (weights imposed by use and occupancy), like snow loads and wind loads. This article will focus on how simple beams like joists and rafters react to loading. If, when the loads of the house are combined, the house weighs more than the soil can support – the house will sink until it reaches a point at which the soil can support the load. Remember when your science teacher said: every action has an opposite and equal reaction? Well every building load has an equal “reaction load”. The structural goal of a house is to safely transfer building loads (weights) through the foundation to the supporting soil. A complete analysis of wood’s mechanical properties is complex, but understanding a few basics of lumber strength will allow you to size joists and rafters with the use of span tables. Wood is naturally engineered to serve as a structural material: The stem of a tree is fastened to the earth at its base (foundation), supports the weight of its branches (column) and bends as it is loaded by the wind (cantilever beam). Using span tables to size joists and rafters is a straight-forward process when you understand the structural principles that govern their use.

Terraria free download latest version pc4/14/2024 I don’t know if that’s just my screen or this app. They glitch out when I’m building in the middle of the screen and moving with the left joystick. 3) the controls could use some upgrading. I don’t care how unstable the version is and how many bug fixes you will need to fix. I’m getting bored by just dying from plantera a bunch of times because that’s all I can do. PLEASE JUST RELEASE 1.3 MOBILE! I’ve been waiting sooooooooo long for it and it just won’t come out. 2) this is just something I’ve been kinda annoyed by but. RIP) but most of the profiles that I made from a long time ago are the ones that get corrupted. My files in local get deleted for some random reason (mostly talking about my main account. 1) I live this game but one of my least favorite issues is how unstable the game can be. This app is one of my personal favorite games that I have been playing for almost five years (I’m pretty sure) but there is something that needs fixing. Hoping the devs fix these issues with the next update. Anyway, that’s about it on my opinion of the game, and I would say definitely pick up a copy if you have five bucks lying around. However, when playing on iPad, you get 10 hot-bar slots and a much more zoomed-out view of the world, somewhere around 40 blocks around you, which makes for a much better gaming experience, and because of the bigger screen, inventory managing is slightly easier, but same problems as the phone. Another thing, is that on phones, you only have 5 hot bar slots, and the game is zoomed in so much that you can only see about 10-15 tiles or so in front of you, and your hearts are super tiny. Organizing your inventory is pretty tedious, and definitely needs a redesign. First, the inventory and crafting interfaces look overcrowded and can be pretty overwhelming for example when you aren’t familiar with the game. I have a couple gripes with the game though. aren’t the best but useable, and the tutorial is a relatively good place to start off from, and does a good job at explaining the first part of the game, one thing the PC edition doesn’t have. Overall, a pretty good port, sporting the 1.2 update from the PC. So for me, someone who has over 300 hours on this app on PC, I thought I’d might as well give this game a try. In-depth building options that allow for amazing feats of architecture Over 20 NPCs to discover, each providing their own benefits and unique style Updated crafting with multiple added item options Over 20 Biomes and Mini-Biomes to explore, both above and underground Over 400 enemies to combat, defeat, and plunder for loot Terraria Bestiary helps players keep track of the enemies, allies, and critters they encounter Atmospheric and Weather effects play a greater role than ever before Quality of Life features including Block Swap, Void Vault, Boss Health Bars, and customizable UI appearance options Journey Mode creates a more accessible Terraria experience Master Mode presents an even higher level of challenge Includes Terraria content from the 1.3.1 – 1.3.5 updates Includes random world name generator and the ability to use World Seeds Full array of World sizes – Small/Medium/Large Gamepad support with fully-remappable buttons Fully customizable controls and User Interface Multiplayer with up to 7 friends on Local Wifi or Online via device-device Wifi hosted games or through the Mobile Terraria Dedicated Server for PC
